Cohas Brook Fire Station

Manchester, NH

Station No. 8, also known as the Cohas Brook Fire Station, was developed in 2012 on the east side of Manchester. Business expansion resulted in the need for a new facility.

The project consisted of the full development of this site, which lies adjacent to wetlands, and the erection of a 12,000 square foot structure. The central portion of the structure consists of three drive-through apparatus bays. These bays are flanked on the south by the dispatch office, a training room, a physical training room, day room, and kitchen. On the north side of the building are the firemen's quarters, and rest room facilities.

The project incorporates state-of-the-art communications and vehicle exhaust systems, and utilized contemporary technology on a limited budget. It is often cited as a prime example of fire station design and construction by area fire chiefs.
