About Matuszewski Architects

Matuszewski Architects is as comfortable bringing an old building to life as they are ensuring that a new one fits perfectly into its space. This commitment to the architecture of the past coupled with attention to technological and environmental changes make Matuszewski Architects unique among their peers.

The career of founding partner Fred Matuszewski has spanned decades,  while he has always ensured that his work has remained timeless. This is what keeps Fred and his team engaged in their work; they are constantly evolving with the times.

Matuszewski Architects understands the importance of listening to the client to ensure the project meets their client’s goals.  The client’s needs are paramount. Collaboration is critical to the success of a project, and by building a truly collaborative relationship, Fred and his team are able to meld their knowledge of architecture and construction with the client’s operations, intended usage of the project and the client’s image within the community.

Matuszewski Architects understands its clientele, its audience, who will ultimately use the building, and how they will use it, ensuring their comfort while maximizing usability. The Matuszewski Architects team focuses on creating environments that are energy efficient and sustainable by using  materials and assemblies that are built to last. The team does not merely create a project plan and walk away; they work as resources on a project, and frequently develop relationships with clients as friends, as many of its clients consider the team to not only be valuable consultants, but invested with the client during and after the project.

Whether you are creating a space from scratch on a perfect plot of land or utilizing  the “bones” of a great building or space to revitalize it, Matuszewski Architects will help you create an outstanding and sustainable project from start to finish.

The work of Fred Matuszewski has been recognized with numerous awards, including recognition of his role in architectural design, planning and preservation.
